Following the great interest in cancers in people with intellectual disabilities at the last international symposium in 2018, and a strong demand to present this topic in French, the Oncodefi Association invites you to participate in the Oncodefi National Days 2021.

Cancers are as common in people with intellectual disabilities as in the general population. But they are different in their presentation and symptoms, their distribution according to organs and their treatment. Above all, they are poorly understood.
The interventions will focus on the history, the frequency of tumors, the symptomatology of these cancers and pain. The experiences acquired in screening-prevention actions, treatments in hospitals, palliative care, will be presented by speakers, some of them belonging to model pilot teams in Switzerland and Italy.
These interventions will be completed by testimonies.
