The DAMA (Disabled Advanced Medical Assistance) system set up at the San Paolo University Hospital in Milan, in operation since 2001, and transposed to 12 other hospitals in Italy, was presented at the Epidaurus Centre on Tuesday 10 December 2019 by Manon Vulcano and Marion Miller, who visited the service.
A film based on the speech of Prof. Filippo Ghelma, head of the DAMA centre, at the second International Symposium on cancers in people with intellectual disabilities, was prepared to show the functioning of this exemplary pilot centre.
